folk-music（n.）
"民间音乐"，1852年（安德鲁·汉密尔顿，《丹麦群岛十六个月》），源自 folk 的"民间"意义（另见 folklore）+ music。以德国 Volksmusik 为模板。指的是一种现代流行音乐的分支，模仿起源于普通民众中的简单和朴素风格的音乐（最初与纽约市的格林威治村有关），起源于1958年。
