ditch（n.）
"挖掘而成的沟渠，尤指用于排水的沟渠"，中古英语 diche，源自古英语 dic "沟渠，堤坝"，是 dike（参见该词）的变体，最初意为"挖掘"，但后来在中古英语中被用于指挖掘时挖出的土堆成的岸或堤。中古英语 diche 也可以指"防御墙"。
