restraint(n.)

"阻止(行动或运动)的行为; 阻碍、阻碍物,障碍物",早在15世纪, restreinte,源自古法语 restreinte,是 restraindre(见 restrain)的女性过去分词的名词用法。

具体指1829年以后对难以控制的囚犯或危险的疯子的限制。 "保留,抑制在方式或风格上的过度奢华"的意义可追溯到1600年左右。短语 restraint of trade 可追溯到1630年代。
