在14世纪后期,“违背真理的行为; 腐败,扭曲”(最初指宗教信仰),源自拉丁语 perversionem (名词 perversio )“转变”,这是由过去分词词根 pervertere (参见 pervert 动词)构成的动作名词。1892年,出现“性行为混乱”的心理学意义,是指通过非正常异性恋以外的途径来寻求满足,最初包括同性恋。
