tricho-的词源解释,tricho-来源

tricho-

before vowels trich-, word-forming element used from c. 1800 in botany, zoology, etc., and meaning "hair," from Greek trikho-, trikh-, combining forms of thrix (genitive trikhos) "hair," especially "body hair," as distinguished from komē, the well-groomed hair of the head. Beekes finds no cognates and gives it no etymology, noting, "The words for 'hair' are different in most Indo-European languages."
