manhandle（v.）
同时 man-handle，15世纪中期，“使用工具”，又于15世纪末，“攻击（敌人）”，源自 man （名词）+ handle （动词）。1834年出现了与航海有关的含义，“不用杠杆或滑车”的意思是“用人力推动”，这是“粗暴处理”的俚语意义的来源（1865年）。相关： Manhandled; manhandling。
